So last year I hosted a small Halloween bash. It's one of my husbands' favorite holidays, and I love an excuse for decorations & food. Like many (nay—nearly all) projects, I hardly had time to pull it off let alone document with photos.
But now I get to show off the fun invitations that were sent out!
The photos are of a save-the-date (more elaborate invite coming soon!), but the printable is for a fill-in-the-blank halloween party invitation. The red drip/splash isn't part of the design, it's actually a drop of food coloring. Each invite was unique with its own runs and splotches. How haunting!
Above is the link to download your own invitations. Be sure to add the splash of blood!
Christmas is almost here! Too late for sending out my Christmas card? I surely hope not (because I freaking love em).
The photo concept was the creative (genius? folly?) of my husband. We even had to re-shoot because the first background wasn't "dilapidated enough". Silly perfectionist! But hey, it's hard to give up a dream when you have specific goal in mind. My favorite part is the tiny wreath in the lower left*.
Psst. You can view my 2010 Christmas card here (sadly 2011 was not photographed).
*Please know that I do NOT think it funny or clever that someone propbably lives here. Quite the opposite.
Happy Monday to y'all! How hard is it to start out a new week after a long relaxing holiday weekend? It's been super hard for me!
Excited to show off a recent baby announcement I designed for a high school bff! Not only is this adorable baby boy basically the first of my closest girlfriends', Gavin is also the first birth I've been a part of. So much excitement to be at the hospital during the miracle of birth! I know many of you are mothers, but the world of motherhood is so foreign and daunting to me personally. Hard to imagine this becoming my world someday, but I'd love to hear your encouragement + favorite memories!

Planning and hosting my first baby shower next month!
These sweet baby blues went into the mail today. I can't wait to finalize the party details for this luxe baby boy shower. Right now my head is overflowing with the possiblities of cuteness that will abound soon!
Hope you are also having a great Wednesday!
Super late post for your Monday afternoon. FINALLY I can share a little secret that's been in the works. These are the invitations for a birthday party that went down this last weekend. My friend Annie and I basically split down the middle a collaboration of color explosion. It was fantastic and a fun surprise. The invites were inspired by a more complicated version by Jordan of Oh Happy Day (also a free download!). I do love the vellum envelopes of confetti, a cheerful letter to receive alongside junk mail. Hopefully I will get the photos back soon to show off the rest of the party.
See you back tomorrow!
An amazingly pretty invitation suite to share with you. Remember these Save the Date's? The bride has such a sweet feminine style—and I think her invitations turned out beautifully.
They were a lot of fun to work on (and of course it doesn't hurt when the results are super great). The lovely calligraphy was done by the talented Rachel Carl & Co. I love weddings in small doses, how about you?
So excited to offer you this awesome Memorial Day Giveaway! As you know from my Christmas card, I'm a huge fan of the talent and skill that is Night Owl Paper Goods. Today they have graciously agreed to give away a free journal (or item of equal value) to one lucky reader!
Started in 2004 by a team of two, this little business has grown into a brand widely recognized on the web and among all stationery gurus. With a passion for fine craftsmanship, detail and the environment, they're totally devoted to creating handmade letterpress cards and eco-chic wooden goodies in a style they like to call "modern yet folksy." Which describes their look to a T.
Both Alan and Jennifer illustrated the entire line of greeting cards, journals, jotters and gifts by intermixing their critter and pattern design styles. Recently they launched a whole bunch of new products, to follow up their new wedding line, and stuffed critters.
And, if you love the idea of wood for an upcoming project, they even offer custom printing. My biggest rave of them though—is honestly their customer service. My order had a small hiccup, and they went over and above to smooth everything out.
Sounds like a great way to start out the week to me! Thanks so much to Night Owl Paper Goods for making this giveaway possible!

Another little something for you! These images are a sneak peek of a project I am working on (an Easter brunch). This invite includes some tasty treats, although not the best to photograph. Peeps are kinda deformed...like every single one of them.
