sneak peek

Spring fever is rampant today! The late posting is due to some seriously great projects that are coming soon. Speaking of which, here is a small nibble of the coming week:

Easter is one week away! One of the most treasured celebration traditions is a large family meal. This fueled my inspiration for a special week of posting // Easter Dinner Place Settings {with each day being a different theme.}

So have a great weekend of anticipation! And don't forget the deadline for my giveaway is almost here—don't miss out people.

lucky day to you

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

To celebrate the big holiday, I am sporting my version of the shamrock badge found
on Design*Sponge last week. I included the little tag {missing my irish half} since my husband is gone and will miss the celebration this year. Time to go enjoy some Guinness cupcakes and Irish cream....!

What better way to find beautiful details than weddings?! I promise this will not turn
into a wedding blog...but I COULD NOT resist the unbelievably adorable details found
in this wedding. Aimee and Phil were married in a little white chapel in Kansas. You can
see their charm and personality throughout every inch of the celebration. All photos taken by the talented Tom and Jerry, a father/son team in Kansas City.

You can probably guess that my favorite is the thrifted coffee cup favors. LOVE LOVE. The adirondack chairs and parasols being a close second. Every detail is so fresh. You can find more pictures here. Doesn't this ALMOST make you want to get married again.......?

the fun begins

I get the privilege of throwing a bridal shower for a wonderful friend, and I am more than excited to start planning. I wanted to share some of my research and prep you for the fun that will be following.

There will be some great diy to share in the upcoming weeks. Does anyone have any fun tips for throwing a shower?! This will be my first one and I need all the help I can get.

number one

Hello there! I'm starting a blog about starting a blog. Today I write to you (currently no one) on my 25th birthday and am making a goal that one year from now I will have a successful blog. By success, I mean consistent posts and hopefully a few readers who enjoy them.

This lovely image is my fourth attempt at a terrarium. I showcase this as my first post to proclaim that I am determined to make it work. This blog will be about noticing the lovelies in life, making beautiful things, and of course the ups and downs along the way. If you've stumbled across this blog, please say hello! I'd love to know you and possibly twist your arm to become a fan. Yay for the maiden voyage post!
