Autumn all around the blogosphere, and I'm totally ok with that. And I'm ok with adding a french illustration by studio folk. Does anyone else love this season?

autumn floral arrangement

Happy Monday!

And now I share my newest passion—floral styling. By playing a large decor role in a wedding last month, I was introduced to wholesale flower purchasing. Probably the best and worst thing that could have happened...because I LOVE it. I can't stop buying flowers now. And because it's wholesale, I can splurge on fancy flowers like billy balls (the yellow round ones) which run $$$.

Above are one of the arrangements I made just because it's fall and I wanted some floral eye candy in my home. Fun, yes?

lovely bundle {fall decor}

Is anyone else shocked that tomorrow is October? I love being submerged in fall but feel like it's almost over, as if I've nearly missed it. Above is the fall eye candy that I am currently swooning over. Simple rustic elegance, with a touch of snazzy flair.

Hope you fall into a beautiful autumn weekend!

autumn decor

Happy Wednesday! Here are a few on-the-cheap decor ideas.

For my porch, I snatched up a few mum plants from Home Depot (only $3 ea!) along with a small pumpkin, and then added a chalkboard welcome sign. I think this makes a pleasant fall greeting for guests...even if it's just the mail delivery person who visits.

And corn. The idea was used in a wedding I styled this month—and I figured it makes for a great seasonal candle accent. I didn't want one lonely candle, so I used all the small votive holders on hand.

And lastly I made a fall bouquet. Then I decided to tell you all about my new found passion (floral styling) in another post. So for now just a quick look ;)

What new ideas are you using this fall? Anything that rocked your socks off?

acorn tealights

Happy November. Down with the Halloween decor.

Ever since I made these acorns last year, I've had so many I just didn't know what to do with them all. Dilemma partially solved—using them to accent sweet tealights. Since subtle is my decor goal for November, I think they fit perfectly. *especially when I get a coffee table*

many horns of plenty to you

Happy Thanksgiving! Above is a card that I letterpressed onto chipboard, and some lovely little felted acorns that I couldn't resist making.

I found this lovely tutorial from Betz White. Probably one of the easiest and highest
pay off for craft projects. I found the acorn tops on ebay and the felt balls are from Ornamentea. A few hours hot gluing and around $35 later, I had 150 of these little guys! I enjoyed giving them out along with the Thanksgiving cards, and I still have so many leftover!
