Occasionally I find myself feeling entitled to various things in life. This quote is a needed reminder of how untrue that really is—we aren't entitled to anything. It's not about what you get but rather what you can give, right?

AND I haven't watched/read Anne of Green Gables since childhood. It may be time to track down this nostalgia.

Love this Irish blessing, and loving the nod to the design brilliance of Mico Toledo.

Very fitting for this week.

Yep. It sure is. Even if Monday was terrible, today is a new day.

Foraged for quotes today and nothing seemed fitting. Until I landed on Jane Austen.
Can't go wrong there.

Pretty sure the illustration style of Sweet William is my absolute favorite. Watercolor + ink makes me swoooooooon.

In what way will you expand your view this week?

Soooo a little in the dumps today. Yesterday I took my husband to the airport so he could return to his international job. I could barely get out of bed. Not like "my bed is so comfortable I want to sleep forever" but more like "I just don't want to face this world alone—can't I just stay here, watch tv and be immersed someone else's drama". Luckily, Betty offers her advice of "whatever's got you down, you go make some cake out of it". Thanks Betty, will do. Also helpful is that I borrowed the audio of this book, which offers endlessly entertaining advice. So with the help of Betty, Tina Fey and Annie (for the borrow), I will now forge onward! And get back into posting content that is not only other people's pretty. Time to make my own pretties!

Enough writing already. Time for work. Anyone else coming out of a slump? Or feeling like the slump will never end? Life is such a roller coaster is it not?

In case anyone out there is trying a little too hard to get it right.
