sweet sweet baby + announcement

Happy Monday to y'all! How hard is it to start out a new week after a long relaxing holiday weekend? It's been super hard for me!

Excited to show off a recent baby announcement I designed for a high school bff! Not only is this adorable baby boy basically the first of my closest girlfriends', Gavin is also the first birth I've been a part of. So much excitement to be at the hospital during the miracle of birth! I know many of you are mothers, but the world of motherhood is so foreign and daunting to me personally. Hard to imagine this becoming my world someday, but I'd love to hear your encouragement + favorite memories!

new coffee table

This may borderline on polygamy, but from this day forward my husband will have to share my affection with a new resident.

This is the first piece of furniture that I've had such affinity for. Well—the first furniture that I've actually owned. The coffee table was custom built by a craftsman using reclaimed barnwood, and in my opinion is shabby chic perfection. I like to sit and admire it. A lot.

The above image is the underside of the coffee table drawer (to hide those ugly remotes) that showcases a photograph of the barn where some of the repurposed wood came from. Even most of the nails/skrews are recycled. I found the craftsman through some friends that had custom furniture made. More images of his work can be found on the site Burning Barn Furniture. Isn't new furniture the best?!

Hope you are having an uplifting day today!

stamp it up

Check this. So, I got really tired of those goofy mailing labels that come in the mail (the free ones with cartoons and no stickiness) and wanted a little more spunk and chunk for my snail mail. Hence, I've had a stamp made.

It may not be revolutionary, but it is fun. Although I did get a little carried away with the chunk. Even when the numbers aren't blackened, in the font is hard to read.

Happy Friday to you! Hopefully you have some fun weekend plans, mine includes visiting family in Wyoming. Let the long road trip begin!

doggy treat

This is my pup! He is a rescue dog that is possibly lab/boxer mix? (Check out this site if you are thinking about getting a pet, it was super great). I was seriously looking for an excuse to buy an adorable toy from Martha's new pet line. And since Odin has a new friend, that was just adopted by my friend, we wanted to give him a little welcome gift (which I hear he tore up in two minutes).

I also converted the tag to a customizable pdf. There is one with the paw print and one without. You can also choose to erase the names before you print, if you prefer. I hope you can find a use for it!

Now we are off to the groomer—Odin really needs a bath!

an apple for today

Almost to late for back to school ideas! But I found these lovely downloads from Creature Comforts and couldn't resist adding a personal touch. Now my teacher friend has little cards when she wants to write a sweet note to her students.
